Wild Rose and traditional healers. Wild rose is a multi – year wild plant, having simple flowers, belongs to the family of rose flowers. Its height ranges from 0,5 to 3,5 meters. Wild rose is in blossom in the period of April –May. Its fruits ripen in the period of August – October.

There are 18 types of wild rose known in Tajikistan. The wild rose fruit is very rich with С, B2, K, P, E vitamins, fat oils, sugar, pectin, organic acids. The wild rose is used for treating various diseases such as anemia, blood cleaning and thinning.

Wild Rose and traditional healers use a decoction of the wild rose fruits as an insufflation and cholagogue, for treatment of gastric ulcer, pulmonary tuberculosis and malaria. Normally it is made a tea out of wild rose and stirred up with a honey and then drunk at influenza and blood excitement. It is particular useful at atherosclerosis, also it is helpful for elimination of internal hemorrhage.
